January 26, 2025 is the deadline to submit nominations

The American Association of Community Theatre (AACT) National Awards celebrate exceptional contributions to the world of community theatre. The 2025 AACT National Awards will be presented at AACTFest 2025, taking place in Des Moines, Iowa on June 27th, 2025.

We invite you to submit nominations by the deadline of January 20, 2025, by visiting aact.org/national. These awards recognize those who have made an indelible mark on community theatre across the nation.

Nominate a Theatre Leader The nomination process is open to all. Whether it’s a colleague, mentor, or local theatre hero who has demonstrated extraordinary commitment to the arts, you have the opportunity to shine a spotlight on their contributions. For more information on award criteria, previous honorees, and the nomination form, visit the AACT website.

The AACT Awards Committee encourages community theatres to consider candidates of all ages for those awards whose criteria are based on merit, rather than age or length of service.

Prestigious National Awards AACT is proud to bestow 10 prestigious awards, each recognizing distinct areas of service and leadership. These accolades honor those who have significantly advanced the cause of community theatre nationwide:

  • Art Cole Lifetime of Leadership Award
  • David C. Bryant Outstanding Service Award
  • Diamond Crown Organization Award
  • Distinguished Merit Award
  • Mort Clark International Achievement Award
  • Robert E. Gard Superior Volunteer Award
  • Shining Star Award
  • Special Recognition Award
  • Twink Lynch Organizational Achievement Award
  • Corporate Award

AACT Spotlight Awards In addition, nominations for the AACT Spotlight Award are welcomed year-round. This honor is presented locally in collaboration with AACT and a member theatre, recognizing long-standing or extraordinary service that has greatly enhanced the quality of local theatre.
