Have you written short plays or scenes for kids and teens and simply would like to have them used and performed? Drama Notebook serves thousands of drama teachers worldwide who are always needing new, interesting scripts. Becoming a contributing playwright to the site can help get your work seen and produced. Small license fee or copyright acquisition fee offered for all accepted work.
Drama Notebook is the world's largest website for drama teachers. The site is packed with high-quality lesson plans, drama activities, scripts and more. Our mission is to support drama teachers who are often over-worked and underpaid by providing affordable lessons and scripts to use with their classes/groups.
Many drama teachers are working part-time in casual settings. They put on performances in gymnasiums, cafeterias, and libraries and do not have the funds to pay per-script fees, let alone royalties. We are currently building a huge library of delightful scripts written by students, teachers, actors and playwrights that we will be sharing with teachers worldwide.
By contributing your work, you will be helping to support their hard-work and dedication, and you will have the joy of knowing that your work is being used. Every script includes a bio of the playwright and a way to contact him/her to send thank-you's and/or pictures.
