PRESS RELEASE

February 1, 2026

The American Association of Community Theatre (AACT) has opened registration for the 2026 Community Theatre Management Conference (CTMC), a national professional development event designed for the leaders and volunteers who keep community theatres thriving.

The conference will be held virtually on Zoom across two separate weekend sessions: April 17–19, 2026 (West Coast session, Pacific Time) and April 24–26, 2026 (East Coast session, Eastern Time). Each session follows the same format and allows participants to choose the schedule that best fits their time zone.

AACT’s Community Theatre Management Conference brings together theatre administrators, board members, volunteers, and arts leaders from across the country for a collaborative weekend of discussion and problem-solving.

Through lightning-round conversations, small-group discussions, and participant-led topic sessions, attendees share practical strategies and solutions related to marketing, fundraising, earned income, volunteer recruitment, board development, season planning, and more.

Sessions are intentionally limited in size to encourage open conversation, peer learning, and meaningful connections among participants at every stage of their theatre leadership journey.

The 2026 conference will be facilitated by theatre leaders Tim Jebsen and Kelli McLoud-Schingen, both experienced arts administrators and longtime contributors to AACT programs.

Registration rates are $150 for AACT members and $175 for non-members. A limited number of scholarships will be available to support participation from underrepresented theatre-makers and leaders of small-budget theatres attending the conference for the first time.

More information and registration details are available at aact.org/ctmc.
