The Technical Director reports to the Executive/Artistic Director.
Technical Director may work with staff, volunteers, and students, but is overall responsible for the general maintenance and cleaning of the GCT facilities and technical management of all productions and special events. Maintaining that all GCT facilities remain clean and ready to be used by volunteers, students, and the general public. Maintaining a good supplies stock list of all cleaning, facilities, and technical supplies for orders and proper storage. Some work as concessions/ticket sales as needed. Assists the Executive/Artistic Director and show director/designers as needed.
Experience working with a live theatre is REQUIRED.
Knowledge and experience on Sound Engineering, Lighting Design, and Set Construction is a plus.
Works at all tech week rehearsals and all performances.
Background Checks will be required and paid for by GCT.
Working well alone as well as with others is a must.
Heavy lifting and multi tasking is involved.
