JOB DESCRIPTION:
Join us in the summer of 2024 and help us continue the legacy of fostering creativity, nurturing talent, and celebrating the individual artistic journey at Interlochen. We are seeking team-oriented and dedicated Patron Services Staff members who embody our core values and are committed to nurturing young artists. As a member of the Patron Services Staff, you will be entrenched in every aspect of concert services and ticket sales. Spend your summer directly engaged in concert operations for all Interlochen Arts Festival performances! From classical giants like Joshua Bell to country hits like Reba McEntire, to pop and rock stars like Diana Ross, The Avett Brothers, Harry Connick Jr., and Earth, Wind and Fire.


What You Get To Do
Assist with all facets of the daily operations of the box office, processing patron ticket orders over the phone and at the walk-up window using computerized ticketing software
Assist with front-line operational excellence, including customer-facing interactions and front-of-house direction of events
Exhibit excellent conflict management skills, while working within the framework of company policies
Deliver a world-class, safe and memorable experience for all guests
Maintain crowd control and entry safety checkpoints, especially during high-occupancy times
Assist in the oversight of concert operations: coordinate volunteer ushers, address concert patrons’ needs, set-up venues, distribute concert programs, coordinate patron shuttle cart operations at performances, provide security for visiting artists and patrons
Will work in the box office and multiple indoor and outdoor venues at Interlochen Center for the Arts; will take part in the venue set up to include deployment of equipment up to 50lbs
Other duties as assigned

Compensation: $2,115.66

What You Need
Availability 6/10/24 - 8/23/24
Prepared to live in a dorm or nature cabin setting
Ability to remain calm in stressful, high-pressure situations, resolving conflict in a diplomatic manner
Must have exceptional customer service skills and be very comfortable working with the public
Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic working environment
Learns quickly, and confidently - makes quick decisions in stressful situations
Must be proficient in the use of various forms of technology in that they can quickly learn and execute job dependent functions
