JOB DESCRIPTION:
Woodland Opera House is seeking a Technical Director with expertise in one or more theatre design disciplines to oversee the technical operations for our productions. As the Technical Director, you will be responsible for facilitating the design, construction, and maintenance of all scenic and technical elements in coordination with the Director, Stage Manager, and other production staff. You will also be responsible for managing the technical crew as well as coordinating production design and technical contractors.
The Technical Director plays a critical role in the success of our productions and the overall success of the Woodland Opera House. If you are a creative problem solver with a passion for technical theatre and experience in managing technical crews, we encourage you to apply. Additionally, the ideal candidate should be proficient in one or more theatre design disciplines and able to coordinate production design and technical contractors, as well as a volunteer technical crew. The Technical Director position is an exempt, full-time position reporting directly to the Executive Director. Salary in the $64k range DOE.
